On a day to day basis I answer the phone at the unit and answer many different questions regarding all aspects of bike engine cars. The questions range from install issues through engine tuning, noise issues at tracks and much much more. I think the sheer number of queries is mainly due to the very specialised nature of my business. Bike engine cars are by definition a hybrid and as such present numerous construction problems, however most of these problems are surmountable and once dealt with the true potential of these supercars can be realised. The problem is that mistakes can be expensive and lessons hard learnt.
When I set up AB Performance, I not only wanted to run a successful business, I wanted to pass on as much of the information I had accumulated so that others could avoid some or the costly pitfalls I had made over the years. I must admit to this not purely being a love of my fellow man!! but every time someone has a mare with these "BECS" (bike engined cars) it serves to further populate the rumours maligning these amazing vehicles, when really the problem is a lack of understanding of what is required to get them to work properly.
It has now dawned on me that by sharing our day to day activities in words and pictures here on the net I might be able to clear some of the fallicies and post some useful information for those considering embarking on the build of such a vehicle.
So here we go, a concious effort to find time to document my everyday experitences, I regret
that this first entry is being made from my lap top at home and without access to the works PC I have little in the way of juicy photos for my first entry, I will rectify this situation as I go but for the time being I will leave you with a shot that is very close to my heart.
Two years of painful slog has finally resulted in the production of my own racecar. Fully jigged, molds done in house and fitted with one of our blueprinted CBR1000rr engines the SABRE is finally finished and racing. I hope to be bringing more of he racing exploits over the next few months as we further devlelop the car and get her into production.
